Redecision therapy, developed by the late Robert Goulding, MD and Mary Goulding, LCSW, is one of the earliest models of brief therapy to focus on what is now called Inner Child Work. Based on cognitive and experiential theories, including transactional analysis and gestalt therapy, it has gained a worldwide following of experiential therapists from a broad range of conceptual orientations. Clear, concise methods support precise goals and produce rapid, long-lasting change measurable in behavioral terms. This model has grown in popularity among therapists as managed care demands precise methods and measurable outcomes.   Redecision therapy is especially effective in facilitating the change process when you only have a few sessions per client.

This ongoing supervision is designed for psychotherapists who want to learn and practice Redecision therapy by experiencing the applied model. During the training and supervision, participants will be given an opportunity to experience Redecision in a group setting with follow-up discussion of methods used. In addition to the didactic discussion, video, and readings, participants will take an active role by conducting supervised, time-monitored sessions with volunteers from the group.

Therapists who have learned this model are amazed at the amount of change that can be facilitated in one session. Clients express deep satisfaction with changes mastered, both in individual sessions and over time. Clinicians, clients, and managed care providers appreciate the clear therapy goals, treatment plans, and rapid results.
