THE SOUTHWEST INSTITUTE WAS CREATED TO PROVIDE QUALITY CONTINUING EDUCATION TO PROFESSIONAL COUNSELORS FOR A REASONABLE INVESTMENT.  THE FOCUS OF THE CONTINUING EDUCATION PROGRAM IS TO PRESENT TRAINING THAT WILL IMPROVE SKILLS, BROADEN COUNSELING KNOWLEDGE AND ALLOW FOR PROFESSIONAL GROWTH.  TRAINING IS STRUCTURED
 IN A SMALL GROUP EXPERIENTIAL FORMAT. 

The Southwest Institute for Group and Family Therapy presents a series of 5-6 trainings for professionals twice each year.  We strive to focus on topics that will be pertinent for recertification, include the 12 core functions for counselors, and are on the cutting edge of interest to working professionals.  The Southwest Institute is a provider of continuing education units through the National Board for Certified Counselors.
